Lead Free Homes LA

Website design

Client: The County of Los Angeles Public Health and County of Los Angeles California teamed together to develop the lead remediation program Lead Free Homes LA.

Problem: There was no online presence, no information regarding eligibility, and no digital process to submit an application through the web.

Role: UX/UI • Visual Design

Goals: As a contracted Visual Designer, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the engineering team at Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) to build an easy-to-navigate web experience that informs site visitors about the program and eligibility for free lead remediation services.

How I Helped: I designed the Lead Free Homes LA website and established the visual identity for the program that was friendly and inviting. I presented the high-fidelity prototypes to the stakeholders and lead engineer team to reference throughout the iterative development process. We utilized a responsive bootstrap template, assuring the user experience would be seamless on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, while decreasing barriers for eligible homes and increasing the number of application submissions.

Tools: Photoshop, Illustrator
